Customer service was okay however they could not assist me. They could not tell me how long it was going to take for a specialist to email me so I am still waiting for a response.

Last time I was able to reach someone, it took 3 months for a specialist to get back with me and they did resolve the issue.

They are so busy adding customers to take their money verse assisting existing customers. There app does not handle all problems, but they are so quick to refer you to.

No Accountability for Incorrect Installation

We had our Tesla system installed in late December 2022, with PTO being received in late January 2023. When the system was first installed the App showed an issue.

This issue remained active on the App until at least mid-February when Customer Service advised me that our system was operating as it should (I had to reach out to them - the App notification is virtually useless). Noticing that we were still receiving rather large power bills, I looked at our production numbers and saw how small they were relative to the size of the system we purchased (16.8 kw). I had such high faith in Tesla that they knew what they were doing with solar installation and maintenance, that I just accepted that we purchased a $56k system that didnt provide as much energy as I thought it would (south facing roof with no trees). I stopped looking at the App until we received a rather large power bill in July - in the middle of the best solar production.

I look at the App and lo and behold there is another service issue activated. Who knows how long it was there before I noticed it. So I left it alone for a few weeks until nothing happened with Customer Service. I reached out to them and was advised that it was a good idea to reach out to them via chat when a service issue shows up on the App.

Nevertheless, a tech came to the house and advised that SOMEONE had switched the wires in our inverters (we have two inverters and two Powerwalls). Like some bandit would come to my house and do that. Geez. Anyway, things were fixed and now our numbers are through the roof.

Beautiful production - but how do we get back nearly 7 months of crap production? And how do you value the energy certificates that we wont get but were going to rely on for the winter? I guess we will just be paying our monthly solar financing AND power bills. Customer Service indicated that they were not responsible for a poor performing inverter - yet their crews did the installation!

Elon, your company really needs to do better.

I assure you, based on this experience, I will NOT be purchasing any Tesla products in the future. Buyer Beware.

Solar city inverter died after 4 years but was replaced in 2 weeks at No charge.we own the system.installer was really nice thanks for that TESLA!!!.customer service number was confusing to find . This company is getting better with helping people!!!
